The Oculus Rift is a virtual reality headset.

Functioning

The Oculus Rift images show a single screen split in half, with each half presented to each eye separately. You can think of the images as being a second monitor attached to the screen. So you could use PsychoPy, OpenSesame, MATLAB, etc. to program your experiments with it.
